Why Iron Man is in the right in Captain America: Civil War

This summer, Captain America: Civil War will be released in theaters. It is about the Superhero Registration Act affecting the Avengers and Captain America. There are two teams that will fight which is the team of Iron Man and Cap’s team. Everyone says Cap is right because he is fighting for freedom but I believe that Iron Man or Tony Stark is the one with right opinion. The past Marvel Cinematic universe movies such as the Iron Man trilogy, The Avengers and Avengers:Age of Ultron has changed Iron Man’s ideology from a reckless playboy to a man who wants everything to be regulated.

In the trailer for Civil War, it is shown that Iron Man is on the side of the government. He is also an advocate of the superhero registration act in the movie. There are a lot of reasons why Iron Man supports the government. It has something to do with what he has learned in the past. In the Avengers, Tony Stark learned that our world was prone to intergalactic threats and that he can’t defend everyone at the same time. In Iron Man 3, it showed how Tony was dealing with his PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder) and how it affected all the aspect of his life. He realized that he must protect everything that is important to him. This spurred him to become a control freak and create the Ultron program which happened in the movie, Avengers:Age of Ultron. The Ultron program almost destroyed the world by trying to use the fictional country of Sokovia as doomsday weapon to destroy the world. These events changed Tony into a man who is willing to do everything in order to regulate the effects of superheroes on people.

I support Iron Man’s viewpoint as I believe heroes should be responsible for their actions. Iron Man has platform that espouses the idea of responsibility and accountability. I agree with this ideology that Iron Man believes in. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, heroes can get away with anything that happens in their battles just because they’re heroes. I think that needs to stop. If heroes are regulated, then there will be less collateral damage and loss of lives whenever a superhero is in a battle which takes place in a populated area. These are the reasons why I support Iron Man in the upcoming movie Captain America: Civil War. Everyone may support Captain America but we should all take the time to consider that Iron Man may have a good viewpoints on the conflict in the movie. The movie will come in 1 or 2 months. We should choose our side wisely.
